ST FELIX ST TOWNHOUSE

CONTEXT

The Saint Felix Street Townhouse is a 4-story two-family home located with view to historic Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn.

Palette’s task was to create a pair of spacious and open dwellings on a very narrow and challenging site which needed significant remediation.

PLANNING & PROGRAMMING

An important element of the design was to express the unique character of the clients, by opening up a public floor that focuses on drawing light and views of the garden deep into the home.

WELL LIT SPACES

The interior and the exterior of the home maximizes access to light by large operable windows and evocates a sense of beach and surf culture providing a refuge within the city.

The efficient layout of the interior and the extension of the building envelope allows for the house to feel much larger and inviting than many of the other houses in this typology.
